Dish Network C-Band |
|
While most smaller
satellite TV providers have begun offering high-speed Internet to their
customers, C-Band is the first to offer the service to owners of the old model
larger Dish Network dishes. The principal is still the same. The Internet signal is beamed
down and users can surf the web and download like any other high-speed
connection. Users cannot upload however, as that would require a transmitter
powerful enough to reach space. |
