DISH Network C-Band

While most smaller satellite TV providers have begun offering high-speed Internet to their customers, C-Band is the first to offer the service to owners of the old model larger Dish Network dishes. The principal is still the same. The Internet signal is beamed down and users can surf the web and download like any other high-speed connection. Users cannot upload however, as that would require a transmitter powerful enough to reach space.
