This is the Digital video format that has changed the way video is watched not
only on computers, but also on DVD's and satellite systems. MPEG's are
compressed digital video files that take up far less space than previous video
files. This technology allows satellites to beam a larger signal to a smaller
dish. MPEG also contains compressed digital audio information that is converted
into digital sound tracks. |
